Spring 2012 English 160 UIC students (whose videos can be found under February 2012 tabs) were asked to create visual essays on Chicago. They were asked to consider the following themes and to pick one: Immigration, Art, Education, Social Class and Violence. The goal was to create a visual argument on Chicago and one of these themes. Chicago and Diversity
"Chicago and Diversity" by Devin Jastrowski
A short video showing how immigrants of all types have made the city of Chicago what it is today. The video displays the culture that immigrants have brought with them to make this city culturally diverse.
