Spring 2012 English 160 UIC students (whose videos can be found under February 2012 tabs) were asked to create visual essays on Chicago. They were asked to consider the following themes and to pick one: Immigration, Art, Education, Social Class and Violence. The goal was to create a visual argument on Chicago and one of these themes. Chicago and Immigration
"Chicago and Immigration" by Warda Ayaz
My video is about how Chicago is really segregated. I show different towns like Chinatown/Devon/Greektown to prove my point. I talk about each town, and try to prove how Chicago is very diverse but it is really segregated.
