My video has a more solemn feel to it especially because the images are paired with a sad song. The point of my video is to make everyone aware of how the lowest social class needs help and the highest is flourishing in these rough times. The last point of my video is to show how the middle class is getting torn to either side, the negative effects of this and to act on this change.
Spring 2012 English 160 UIC students (whose videos can be found under February 2012 tabs) were asked to create visual essays on Chicago. They were asked to consider the following themes and to pick one: Immigration, Art, Education, Social Class and Violence. The goal was to create a visual argument on Chicago and one of these themes. Enjoy!
